Through the Guidance on Revisions, Research England invited Higher Education Institutions to submit revisions to their approved Codes of Practice incorporating necessary changes to timeframes as a result of the delay to the submission date. Accordingly, the University has updated its Code of Practice, extending the deadline for staff to make declarations of individual circumstances that have impacted on their ability to produce research from spring 2020 through to the end of the REF period. This change provides additional opportunity for the University to give recognition and support to matters of equality and diversity through the process.
