Survey of Submission Intentions

All HEIs intending to participate in REF2021 were required to complete the survey to provide details about their intended submissions.  The aim of the survey was to enable the Research England REF team and the REF panels to plan and prepare for the assessment phase of the exercise.  The panels will use the information to assess the anticipated range and volume of material to be submitted, and to identify the expertise required for the assessment.  The University submitted our response to the survey by the deadline of 6 December 2019.  The information provided was based on the data from the mock REF2019.  Research England asked institutions to be as accurate as possible, but recognising that staff lists and outputs selection will continue to be updated as preparations for the submission in November 2020 progress.  The information provided is therefore indicative, not binding but commits the University to making a submission in 2020.
